ABOUT MICHAELA ANGELA DAVIS
Non-fiction author, activist, and stylist who has worked as a celebrity stylist for Oprah Winfrey , Beyonce Knowles , Prince , and LL Cool J . As an activist she is on the board of Black Girls Rock! and Imagenation. She has more than 70,000 followers on her michaelaangelad Instagram account.
She studied acting at Duke Ellington School of the Arts as a National Arts Scholar before attending New York University .
She became associate fashion editor at Essence in 1991. She later became founding fashion director for Vibe magazine and the final editor-in-chief of Honey.
Her daughter is Elenni Davis-Knight.
She and Dexter Pottinger have both worked as activists and stylists.
