She earned a Bachelor's Degree in nutrition and dietetics in university.

She spent six years in Los Angeles pursuing acting. She appeared in series like Cupid's Match and the 2015 film My All-American. She struggled with celiac disease and lupus.

In 2019, she married Brook Smith. She moved back home to Texas after they divorced. She began dating musician Jordy Searcy in 2022. They got engaged in July 2023.
