Known for his roles in such popular television series and films as, respectively, Star Trek: The Next Generation and The Big Lebowski , he also appeared in episodes of Desperate Housewives , The X-Files , Chicago Hope, and Hill Street Blues.
Early in his career, he was cast in two episodes of the television series Hart to Hart.
