ABOUT MIKE MENDES

Tattoo artist known for his for stark, pen-and-ink style. He originally began a career in animation, but switched to tattooing and has enjoyed the nomadic lifestyle it affords him.

He was raised in Newmarket, but moved to Toronto as an adult. He's also lived in Vancouver and London.

He's also a philanthropist -- his created the Love Everyday clothing line whose proceeds went toward helping underprivileged and impoverished communities in Toronto.

He has a sister named Laura.

He's tattooed at German tattoo shop Parliament Tattoo alongside fellow well-known artist Scott Move .
