ABOUT MIKE PETERS
Welsh singer and guitarist who found fame in the 80s as a member of the new wave band The Alarm, responsible for hit singles like "Sixty Eight Guns." Following the band's breakup in 1991, he released solo albums like 1994's Breathe.
He worked as a computer operator for IBM and joined his first band, Harry Hippie, in 1975.
He has been diagnosed with lymph cancer and chronic lymphocytic leukaemia. His struggles with recovery were documented in the 2006 documentary Mike Peters on the Road to Recovery.
He married a woman named Jules, and they had two children together.
He was bandmates with Dave Sharp in The Alarm.
