Considered by many to be the greatest center in NFL history. He spent the bulk of his career with the Pittsburgh Steelers and was named to 9 Pro Bowls.
He was a dominant center in the Big 10 Conference while playing college football for the University of Wisconsin .
He won four Super Bowls with the Steelers and spent the last two years of his career with the Kansas City Chiefs before retiring after the 1990 season.
Had four children with his ex-wife Pam.
