She earned a degree in Psychology from Cornell University and also minored in Music. She worked as an academic tutor for her alma mater.

She interned with The Gersh Agency and with Quincy Jones Productions.

She is the daughter of Madchen Amick and musician/producer David Alexis.

The music video for "Freedom" was an homage to her mother's most famous acting role in Twin Peaks , an ABC series created by David Lynch .
