ABOUT MYKOLA MATVIENKO

Professional center back that was originally signed by the Ukrainian Premier League team FC Shakhtar Donetsk in 2015. After playing with Vorskla Poltava during the 2017 club season as a loaner, he was then sent back to Shakhtar Donetsk. He has also played for the Ukrainian men's national team during his professional career.

He first began playing soccer as a young child growing up. He eventually joined Shakhtar Donetsk's youth club in 2009 at the age of thirteen.

He made his official international team debut while playing against Croatia on March 24, 2017. He and his team lost the match 1-0.

He grew up living with his family in Saky, Ukraine. He now lives along with his wife, Anna, and their daughter.

He has played alongside Andriy Yarmolenko as a member of the Ukrainian men's national team during his career.
