ABOUT NATE HILTS

Lead vocalist and guitarist of the Canadian folk-bluegrass musical ensemble, The Dead South. With the band, he was a recipient of the Juno Award for Traditional Roots Album of the Year in 2020.

In 2012, he and his bandmate Danny Kenyon came up with the idea of a raucous bluegrass band while performing in a short-lived alternative grunge band.

His band's song "In Hell, I'll Be in Good Company" was featured on the Starz adaptation of American Gods .

He was born in Canada.

He jokingly refers to his band as being the evil twin of Marcus Mumford 's Mumford & Sons .
