ABOUT NAVDEEP BAINS

Canadian-born Punjab politician and member of the Liberal Party of Canada. He served as Canada's Minister of Innovation, Science and Industry between 2016-2021.

He began his professional career as a politician in 2004.

Prior to becoming a politician, he worked as a financial processing analyst at Nike Canada.

He lives with his wife Brahamjot and their two children named Nanki Kaur and Kirpa Kaur. In 2021, he said he stepped away from politics "to be closer to his family."

During his political career, he worked with Justin Trudeau .
