ABOUT NEJAT UYGUR
Turkish comedian and actor who became a national theatre icon through his performances in plays like Minti Minti and Aman Ozal Duymasin. He was also an occasional film actor whose final film, 2007's The White Angel, won the Remi Award at the 41st WorldFest-Houston International Film Festival.
He studied sculpting at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University and founded the Nejat Uygur Theatre in the late 40's.
The Ministry of Culture bestowed him the prestigious title of State Artist in 1998.
His sons Suheyl and Behzat are also actors.
He and Bugra Gulsoy are both popular Turkish actors.
