ABOUT NICHOLAS MOORE

British poet associated with the New Apocalyptics and known for works such as A Book for Priscilla, The Glass Tower, and Spleen. He received both the Harriet Monroe Memorial Prize and the Patron Prize.

He studied at the University of St. Andrews, Scotland and at Trinity College, Cambridge and, while he was still in college, published a literary review entitled Seven.

His collection Longings of the Acrobats was published posthumously and was edited by Peter Riley.

He was the son of G.E. Moore, a British philosopher.

The Glass Tower, Moore's 1941 poetry collection, was illustrated by artist Lucian Freud .
