Nikolaj Pesalov
ABOUT NIKOLAJ PESALOV
Bulgarian weightlifter and Olympic competitor who won a silver medal at the 1992 Barcelona games and a bronze at the 1996 Atlanta games.
He originally competed for Bulgaria but then began competing for Croatia.
He gained Croatian citizenship for the 2000 Olympics and won his gold as a member of Team Croatia.
He is the son of Berda and Yosefov Pesalov.
He competed in his first Olympics in 1992, the year Michael Jordan led the Dream Team to the gold in basketball.
