ABOUT O'KELLY ISLEY JR.
American singer best known as a founding member of R&B group the Isley Brothers. He and his bandmates rose to fame on the back of their 1959 single "Shout." He was posthumously inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1992.
He and his brothers sang together at church before forming the Isley Brothers.
He made his last appearance for the Isley Brothers on the 1986 song "Good Hands." The 1987 Isley Brothers album, Smooth Sailin', was dedicated to him.
His brother Ronald Isley performed alongside him in the Isley Brothers.
He and his bandmates covered the Phil Collins single "If Leaving Me Is Easy" on their 1985 album Masterpiece.
