Accomplished actor of stage and film who appeared in movies such as Son of the Pink Panther and The Dark Knight Rises. He has appeared on iconic stages such as the Old Vic and the Globe Theatre.
He trained at the Drama Centre, London.
He worked extensively in theatre, with the National Theatre Company and the Royal Shakespeare Company.
He had two daughters with his wife.
He starred in three plays at the Old Vic while the theatre was under the directorship of actor Kevin Spacey .
