Prior to his work as a writer for Shareblue Media, he was a Research Fellow at Media Matters for America. He gained further attention when he published his first political satire book The Deepest State which consisted of fabricated Twitter posts in January of 2018.

He gained controversial attention in April of 2018 when he wrote for Shareblue Media the headline "NRA attacks hero who stopped massacre because he didn't kill anyone".

He was born and raised in Silver Spring, Maryland.
