ABOUT OMEGA EL FUERTE
Singer-songwriter best known for his merengue-inspired songs including his breakout hit "Alante, Alante." He has gained wide-ranging popularity amongst Dominicans, including those living in the U.S., as well as European audiences. He is most commonly recognized for propagating a type of music called "Urban merengue."
His interest in music started at the age of 13 when he created a rap group with friends. Years later, he started winning singing competitions in variety shows in the Dominican Republic under the group Alpha y Omega.
Throughout his career, he has worked alongside popular artists in the Dominican Republic, and elsewhere, including Shakira . In 2011, he was signed by Akon who also inspired some of his future merengue compositions.
He was born Antonio Peter De La Rosa to parents Ercilia De La Rosa and Sergio Peter in Bonao, Dominican Republic. He married Miguelina Sanchez, with whom he shares two daughters.
He was featured in Becky G 's song "Arranca" and Fuego 's "Mi Alma Se Muere" alongside Pitbull .
