ABOUT PAMELA BALLANTINE

Famous for her three-decade-long career with Northern Ireland's UTV channel, she presented the programs UTV Live, UTV Life, and RPM, and also hosted the game shows Hot Pursuits and Ulster Schools Quiz.

Before beginning her career with UTV, she worked for Northern Ireland's Downtown Radio and for BBC Radio Ulster.

She penned a weekly column for the newspaper the Belfast Telegraph.

Born Pamela Rolston, she grew up in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Her marriage to radio host John Paul Ballantine ended in divorce.

She and Gillian Porter are both well known for their work on UTV.
