ABOUT PAPE GUEYE

Professional midfielder that was signed by the France based football club Olympique de Marseille in July 2020. Prior to Marseille, he played for the Le Havre and Watford F.C. soccer clubs. He has also made appearances as a member of the Senegalese mens national team.

He first began his soccer career in 2005 as a member of the Blanc-Mesnil youth team. He later began playing with the Le Havre youth squad.

He made his senior international team debut playing against Congo on 14 November 2021. His team won the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification match 2-0. He has become known for his competitive and aggressive style of play. His vision and playing strength are also keys to his game.

He was born in Montreuil, France. His family is of Senegalese descent.

He played alongside Alexis Sánchez as a member of Marseille during the 2022 club season.
