ABOUT PAT COOMBS
Famous for her roles on numerous television comedy series, she is perhaps particularly remembered for her work on Beggar My Neighbour, Lady Is a Tramp, In Sickness and in Health and You're Only Young Twice.
Before training at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA), she worked as a kindergarten teacher.
She appeared in numerous children's series, including Playbox and Ragdolly Anna, and she also had a recurring role on the soap opera EastEnders.
The children of an insurance salesman, she and her two siblings spent their early years in Camberwell, South London, England.
She was a childhood neighbor and friend of the prominent English stage and screen actress Vivien Merchant .
