ABOUT PAUL W DOWNS
Actor, writer and director best known as co-creator and showrunner of the HBO series Hacks . He also played the role of agent Jimmy in the series. Prior to hacks, he was best known for playing Trey on the Comedy Central series Broad City ; he served as co-executive producer on the series as well.
He studied theater at Duke University , where he did improv as a member of Duke University Improv.
In 2016 he wrote and starred in an episode of the sketch show Netflix Presents: The Characters. The same year, he starred in the Comedy Central miniseries Time Traveling Bong with Ilana Glazer . He appeared in a Catfish: The TV Show parody in the sketch series Inside Amy Schumer .
In September 2021, he married Lucia Aniello . They met in 2007 at the Upright Citizens Brigade and started creating digital shorts together. They share one child together.
He collaborated with Amy Sedaris on her series At Home with Amy Sedaris.
