ABOUT PAUL MERSON
English striker who played for Arsenal from 1985 to 1997 and England's national team from 1991 to 1998. He scored 127 goals in his 623-game club career. He played during the 1998 FIFA World Cup.
He made his professional debut with Arsenal at age 17.
He spent two years as a manager and player with Walsall FC from 2004 to 2006. He played with Portsmouth from 2002 until 2003.
He had five children from failed marriages with Lorainne and Louise Merson.
He was teammates with Niall Quinn at Arsenal from 1985 to 1990.
