Best known for songs "I Don't Want to Wait." and "Where Have All the Cowboys Gone?", which was a Billboard Hot 100 1997 top-10 hit. The first of those songs has garnered more than 100 million streams on Spotify.

She studied jazz singing and improvisation at the Berklee College of Music. She was honored with a Grammy Award for Best New Artist in 1998.
