ABOUT PAULA DANZIGER
Young adult and children's author whose best known works include The Cat Ate My Gymsuit (1974) and the Amber Brown series (1994-2003). She is well known in the UK for having hosted a special on children's literature on the BBC called Going Live on Saturday mornings. Her work has been published in 53 countries, and 14 languages.
She graduated from Montclair State University and went on to teach middle school in Edison, New Jersey.
Her works had been published, at the time of her death, in fourteen languages and in over fifty countries.
She died at age fifty-nine from a heart attack which she suffered while visiting her niece, Carrie Danziger.
She and Babysitters Club series author, Ann Martin , collaborated on two young adult novels.
