ABOUT PAULA ANDREA PLACIDO

Dominican-American actress known for her work in the shows Shameless, Hacks, The L Word: Generation Q, and Apples Never Fall. She has appeared in more than 20 episodes of television throughout her developing career.

She attended BAK Middle School of the Arts and Suncoast Community High School in Florida. She moved to Los Angeles in 2010 to pursue her acting career. Her first audition was for a role in the Twilight franchise film Eclipse. She started doing TV commercials before getting her first on-screen role in Social Norm (2016).

She enjoys painting, cooking, working out, and watching movies in the theater. She realized she wanted to become an actress after seeing the first Harry Potter film.

She was born in San Francisco de Macoris, Dominican Republic. Her family moved to West Palm Beach, Florida which is where she grew up.

In 2024, she appeared in the series Sugar alongside Colin Farrell and Kirby Howell-Baptiste , which was directed by Fernando Meirelles .
