ABOUT PAVOL DEMITRA

Former NHL center who was invited to the All-Star Game in 1999, 2000, and 2002. He is most famous for his time with the St. Louis Blues. He passed away shortly after a plane crash at the young age of 36.

He played for the Slovak team HC Dukla Trencin before being drafted 227th overall in the NHL Draft.

He won the Lady Byng Memorial Trophy for sportsmanship in 2000. He played on 7 different teams throughout his professional career.

He had children named Lucas and Zara.

He scored twice against New York Islanders goalie Tommy Salo on April 3, 1997.
