He was diagnosed with a sarcomatoid carcinoma in July 2015.

Sophia Gall was one of his inspirations to begin vlogging about his cancer.

His real name is Daniel Thomas. His brother Matt played drums for the band The Joy Formidable. He married his wife Becca in August 2018 weeks before he passed away from cancer.

He and Christina Newman both created YouTube vlog channels to document their respective bouts against cancer.
