ABOUT PETER BEARDSLEY
Forward and midfielder who played for the English national team from 1986 to 1996; scored 61 goals in 147 appearances for Newcastle United between 1983 and 1987.
He began his professional career with Carlisle United in 1979.
He played for a number of England's top clubs during his career including Liverpool, Everton, and Manchester United.
He raised a son named Drew and a daughter named Stacey with his wife Sandra.
He played alongside Gary Lineker on the English national team from 1986 to 1992.
