Peter Boizot
ABOUT PETER BOIZOT
English businessman and restaurateur who founded PizzaExpress, a popular European restaurant chain with additional branches in India, the Middle East, and Hong Kong.
He studied history at St. Catharine's College, Cambridge, graduating in 1953. He opened his first PizzaExpress restaurant in London in 1965.
A music enthusiast, he opened the PizzaExpress Jazz Club in the Soho district of London in the late 1960s.
He was born and raised in Peterborough, England. As a child, he studied at King's School, Peterborough.
He and Little Caesar's founder Mike Ilitch both established popular pizza restaurant chains.
