He graduated from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka with a BA in Philosophy.
When he was impeached, Virginia Etiaba replaced him, becoming the first woman to be a governor in Nigeria.
He was born in Onitsha.
He and Rod Blagojevich were both governors who came into trouble during their terms.
