ABOUT PHIL BOURQUE

Retired hockey player who won two Stanley Cups as a member of the Pittsburgh Penguins. He later became a color commentator for Penguins radio broadcasts, where he earned the nickname "Ol' Two-Niner" from Penguins fans.

He played two seasons with the Kingston Canadians in the Ontario Hockey League before being signed by the Penguins.

He nearly died after falling off a forty-foot cliff in Arizona, suffering a broken skull and nasal cavity among other injuries.

His cousin is Hall of Famer Raymond Bourque.

He won the 1990-91 Stanley Cup alongside then-rookie Jaromir Jagr as a member of the Penguins.
