ABOUT PRADIP KUMAR BANERJEE
One of India's most famous soccer players, he played right wing for India from 1952-67, and played in the 1956 and 1960 Olympics.
He played for Bihar in Santosh Trophy when he was just 15.
He was named Indian Footballer of the 20th century by FIFA.
His younger brother, Prasun Banerjee, was also a highly-accomplished soccer player.
He and cricketer Chetan Chauhan both received the Arjuna Award from the Indian government in recognition of their contributions to national sports.
