ABOUT RAEF
Debuting as a recording artist with his 2014 album release The Path, he is an American-Muslim singer and songwriter whose music is directed towards Muslims and faith-based communities. He was signed by Awakening Records in 2014.
He enjoyed the outdoors growing up as he enjoyed fishing, kayaking and camping. He attended the University of Maryland where he studied computer science and also sang tenor in a comedic a cappella group.
He developed security software for the New York Stock Exchange before working as a high school teacher from 2005 to 2013.
He was born to Egyptian parents in Washington DC, and raised in Maryland.
Maher Zain was featured on the third song of his The Path album titled "So Real."
