ABOUT RALPH CARTER

Actor and singer best known for his Tony Award-nominated work in the Broadway musical Raisin. He is also known for playing the role of Michael Evans on the television show Good Times.

He won a Drama Desk Award for Most Promising Newcomer for his role in the play, Dude.

He released an album in 1975 called When You're Young and In Love, and its title track was a top 10 hit.

He married Lisa Parks in 1982. They had two sons before divorcing. He married River York in 1994. They have a son and two daughters.

He reunited with the cast of Good Times, including Jimmie Walker , in a 2006 reunion special.
