ABOUT RANJIT BAWA
Punjabi singer and actor most well known for the single "Jatt Di akal" which broke numerous sales records following its release. His album Mitti Da Bawa took the Best World Album award at the 2015 Brit Asia Awards.
He would often sing while in school and was frequently praised by his teachers and classmates. His music teacher eventually encouraged him to begin entering music competitions.
He made his film debut in 2015 portraying the title role Toofan Singh in a semi-biographical film about the activist's life.
He was born Gurpreet Singh in Gurdaspur, India.
He was cast alongside renowned Punjabi comedian Jaswinder Bhalla in Baisakhi List.
