ABOUT RAYSHUN LAMARR

Singer and cancer survivor who rose to fame after competing on Season 14 of NBC's The Voice . He sang "Don't Stop Believin'" for his blind audition and chose Adam Levine as his coach over Alicia Keys .

He is a cancer survivor who beat lymphoma and multicentric Castleman's disease, a rare genetic disorder. During this time he lost much of his hearing, vision and voice, but regained all three after two years of treatment.

In Week 11 of the season, select viewers were allowed to pick contestant songs and Parkland shooting survivor Noa Golan picked "Try A Little Tenderness" for Lamarr. She explained she was inspired by his victory over the disease.

His mom has accompanied him to The Voice competition in Los Angeles, and he's featured photos her in the makeup chair on his eponymous Instagram.

He competed alongside fellow Levine team members Drew Cole , Jackie Verna and Gary Edwards.
