Her debut song was "Lute lute nëna bijën" in 1997. She was discovered by her music teachers at the time.
Her first album, Lulekuqja e Kosovës, was released in 1984. She released her second album, Kur bie Tupani i parë, two years after that.
Her brother Nexhat Osmani is also a folk musician. She has two children.
She and Labinot Tahiri are both world music singers from Kosovo.
