He started buying and selling antiques when he was 11. He was raised in Frankfurt, Germany until 1990. His family moved to San Diego. He attended Las Vegas High School.

He owned a shop called Bargain Hunters Thrift Store in San Diego, California. He also ran an online store to enable buyers to purchase products from anywhere in the world.

He married Casey Nezhoda. His father was an actor named Gunter Nezhoda.

He and Jarrod Schulz are both famous for appearing in Storage Wars.
