ABOUT RHIANNON GIDDENS

Singer, songwriter, composer, entertainer, artist, performer, vocalist, actor, writer, and musician who is best known for being the lead singer of the country and blues group the Carolina Chocolate Drops. Besides making music, she is also a well-known actress and book author.

She is a graduate of the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics. She also attended Oberlin College, where she eventually began studying opera.

In the year 2022, her and the Carolina Chocolate Drops won a Grammy award for 'Best Folk Album.' She also won a Grammy for 'Best Traditional Folk Album' in the year 2011 as well. In the year 2023, she was given an Pulitzer Prize for her music achievements.

Growing up, she lived with her family in Greensboro, North Carolina. She is one of two sisters.

She is a huge fan of Bob Dylan .
