Richard J. Kerry

ABOUT RICHARD J. KERRY

Austrian-American lawyer who served in the United States Foreign Service. He was the General Counsel for the Navy Department in Washington D.C. and also served in the Bureau of United Nations Affairs.

He attended Yale University and graduated in 1937 before going on to obtain his law degree from Harvard Law School.

He served in the United States Army as a test pilot in World War II.

He married Rosemary Isabel Forbes in 1941 and they had four children together.

One of his sons, John Kerry , was the Democratic presidential candidate in the 2004 election.
