Richard Sanders
ABOUT RICHARD SANDERS
Famous for his portrayal of Les Nessman on the CBS comedy series WKRP in Cincinnati, he is also notable for his roles on InHumanoids (as Dr. Derek Bright); Spencer (as Benjamin Beanley); and Berrenger's (as Frank Chapman).
After studying acting at Carnegie Mellon University, he traveled to England as a Fulbright Scholar and also briefly served in the Peace Corps.
In the late 1980s, he appeared in three episodes of You Can't Take It with You.
The child of Henry and Thelma Sanders, he spent his early days in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and his high school years in Leavenworth, Kansas. He married Marilynn Marko-Sanders.
He and Gordon Jump were both in the cast of the original WKRP in Cincinnati, as well as in the lineup of the series' 1990s sequel, The New WKRP in Cincinnati.
