His brother, Raymond, was already an established actor when he entered the industry. However, he didn't want to succeed on his brother's coattails and instead refused to accept any help from him in launching his career.
Outside his film roles, he has also dabbled in television, appearing in episodes of Wagas and Ipaglaban mo.
Born to Boy Bagatsing, he has a brother, Raymond, who is also an actor.
