ABOUT ROB KIERNAN

Professional soccer defensive back who joined Rangers in 2015 and helped them earn promotion to the Scottish Premiership. He'd previously been under contract to Wigan, often playing on loan in League One, League Two, and the Championship.

He grew up playing for Watford's youth team and joined the first team in 2008. However, he spent most of his time there on loan before signing with Wigan.

He's represented Ireland and the U18, U19, and U21 levels, serving as captain of the U19 team.

He was born in Rickmansworth, England.

He and Barrie McKay have played together on Rangers.
