Nicknamed Rojo, she is a singer-songwriter who has become known for her singles like "Lowkey" and "Playa 4 Life" for the album 1021. She first became known for the 2012 EP Pressure.

She began sharing videos of her singing and songwriting skills on YouTube at the age of nineteen and slowly began to gain a following.

Her verified Soundcloud account has more than 20,000 followers and many of her singles on the platforms have hundreds of thousands of plays.

She was born an hour outside of London to British Jamaican parents. The family moved to Toronto when she was only five years old.

She has toured with Jessie Ware , and she provided the background vocals for Childish Gambino 's "Telegraph Ave."
