ABOUT RODRIGO MORENO MACHADO

Spanish striker best known for winning several championships with Benfica, including Primeira Liga and Taca da Liga titles in 2014. He was a key component in the Spanish squad which was named the UEFA Euro Under-21 Team of the Tournament in 2013. In 2015, he began playing for Valencia.

He moved to Spain from Rio de Janeiro as a teenager, where he honed his skills playing for Celta de Vigo.

He was voted Man of the Match after a 2-0 victory against Rio Ave F.C. which clinched Benefica's fifth title in seven years in the Portuguese League Cup.

His cousins, Rafinha and Thiago Alcantara , have also played for Spain at the international level.

He has been teammates with Andre Gomes at Benfica.
