ABOUT ROMEO OKWARA

NFL defensive end that was originally signed by the New York Giants as an undrafted rookie free agent in 2016. He was later acquired by the Detroit Lions in September 2018. He posts career updates and fitness content on his popular romeokwara Instagram account.

He previously played college football at the University of Notre Dame . He first enrolled in Notre Dame as a freshman in 2012.

He made his official NFL debut while playing against the New Orleans Saints during week two of the 2016 regular season. He recorded one tackle in a 16-13 Giants victory.

Although he was born in Lagos, Nigeria, he and his family later moved to the Charlotte, North Carolina area. His brother, Julian Okwara , has also played in the NFL during his career.

He is a former Notre Dame collegiate athlete just like Kyle Hamilton and Jeff Samardzija .
