ABOUT RONEE MARTIN

Singer-songwriter who rose to fame competing on the eleventh season of America's Got Talent. Before making her television debut, she worked as a backing vocalist for artists like Wynton Marsalis and Patti LaBelle .

At age six, she became fascinated with music and would begin performing solos in church. Her tastes gradually evolved from gospel to country to motown and she would begin performing professionally as she entered adulthood.

She was featured on the compilation album Sensation with the likes of Joe Sample , Hubert Laws , and numerous other renowned musicians.

She grew up in Columbia, Virginia and, upon graduating high school, moved to Washington D.C. to live with her mother.

In 2016, she competed against winner Grace VanderWaal on the eleventh season of America's Got Talent.
