ABOUT ROWAN ALEXANDER
Former striker and manager who scored 98 goals in 310 matches for Greenock Morton from 1986 to 1995. He managed Queen of the South from 1996 to 1999 and Gretna from 2000 to 2007.
He debuted professionally for Queen of the South in 1978, after coming up through the youth set-up of Annan Athletic.
He appeared in 47 matches for Brentford from 1984 to 1986.
He was born in Ayr Scotland.
He and goalkeeper Jamie MacDonald both played for Queen of the South.
