ABOUT ROY HEATHER
Remembered best for his role as Sid in the BBC One comedy series Only Fools and Horses, this English actor also had guest star roles on such series as The Bill, My Family, and Poirot.
Before becoming an actor, he served with the Royal Air Force and worked as a door-to-door salesman.
In his mid-forties, he began his professional acting career, performing in English stage productions of The Norman Conquest, Aurelia, and Winter Journey.
He was married to Sara Taylor from 1993 until his death in 2014.
He and David Jason were both in the cast of Only Fools and Horses.
