Singer and songwriter known professionally as Royal & the Serpent. In 2017, she independently released her debut single, "Temperance." She gained additional buzz behind songs like "Weddings & Funerals" and "Salvador Dali." Her RIAA Gold-certified single "Overwhelmed" spent 22 weeks on Billboard's "Alternative Airplay' chart. She also released a single titled "Happier in Hell" in 2022.
As a teenager, she learned how to play the guitar and began writing songs at age 14. She took up competitive dance as a child but was injured after jumping off the stage.
She has accumulated over 130,000 followers on Instagram, where she posts career promotion, fashion content, and lifestyle photos. She has also toured with Demi Lovato , Fall Out Boy , grandson and PVRIS .
She grew up in New Jersey. She moved to Los Angeles when she was 18 and started working as a bartender upon self-releasing her music.
In 2020, she joined English singer Yungblud 's "Weird Time of Life" virtual tour as a supporting act.
